Developments

The riding scene seems to be at a bit of a critical point in it's existence at the moment. We've got surveys flying left, right and centre, marketing reports coming out, various community forums to attend, and now is the time for us to make a difference to our own riding experiences!
Get in there an complete the survey! Turn up at the community forums!

On a completely different topic, what does everyone think of a poker race? we'll have uplift shuttles running all day here, and at the end of each run every rider gets a playing card, with a max of 7, and the rider with the best 5 card hand at the end of the day wins the major prize... let's hear your opinions!

Holidays Over :(

Where has the time gone, the first week went so slowly, and the second just disappeared! i spent most of it chasing up pats new bike, getting lost on the way to acton to see it, ordering a new shock, hunting a machinist to redo the mounting hardware to fit a vivid in there... it'll be sick when it's done tho! i'll throw pictures up soon...

In workshop news, cyclingo went and threw out their old tool board, (i caught it) and it now resides happily in my shed, with my rather dismal array of tools hanging from it... i need some good alan keys!!!

havent done any more building lately, unfortunatley, but started work on a flyer for the race :p get out your enduro dhing - trail shredding skills, and your sense of have-a-go and lets get to it!

Rainy first week of the holidays

Hey all,
well, I'm sure we're all fully sick of this weather and just wanna get out and ride, but this rain is making that a fairly uninspiring prospect and so building has been a bit of the order of the day. we've got a bit done on a our swoopy little single-track piece, gotta put a bit more time in to finish the bench cuts and tidy up a few little gaps over the creek. might try and get a bit of footage of it asap, but i'd like to wait till it dries up a bit.

anyway, here's a sweet little video i came across on pinkbike in one of my needing bike inspiration to stomp my sad feelings over not being able to ride...

Also to look forward to, I'm in the process of tidying up some of our trails for a little event I'm keen to run here after school finishes, of the enduro dh variety, but more info and a poster on that when all the right people and organization fall into place.

Another thing I'm keen to get happening on this site is a series of interviews on some of the guys and gals who've been in the riding scene down here from early on and have had an impact on the Tasmanian scene, so keep an eye out for that soon...
